We are further committed to operating within a “responsible supply chain” framework that supports “human rights” compliance and is free of “conflict minerals” sourced from the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo or adjoining countries, in accordance with the objectives set out in Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act. To this end, Gonvarri Industries publishes its Conflict Minerals Policy, which must be complied with in all supplies that may be affected in their composition by these minerals.
Furthermore, Gonvarri Industries is committed to respecting and protecting human rights, through its Human Rights Policy, from a preventive approach in all the countries where it is present as an integral part of its culture. To this end, we have the necessary formal mechanisms in the Due Diligence process that allow us to identify, prevent, mitigate and remedy the adverse impacts derived from our activity.
We are proud that, more than a simple declaration of intentions, these Policies are today a true contract with each and every one of our stakeholders, permeating our day-to-day work and thus becoming the cornerstone of our efforts towards Excellence.
