Gonvauto Asturias is working on the project “LightTube – Research for the manufacture of steel tubes with a high elastic limit: towards the production of lightweight components for electric vehicles”.
The project addresses the problems of tube roll forming with a high elastic limit, which are ovalization and accumulation of residual stresses. The solution to these problems is approached from a theoretical point of view for the optimization of the tube roll forming flower and the potential of the on-line application of stressing heat treatments.
This project is financed by the Institute for Economic Development of the Principality of Asturias (IDEPA) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through IDE/2022/000491.
